Practitioner Foundation Courses are 520-hour courses that lay the foundation for a career in massage. These courses are appropriate for absolute beginners to massage as well as experienced practitioners interested in exploring the often overlooked emotional aspects of bodywork.
The Practitioner Foundation courses can be used as the basis of a career in massage, and preparation for the MBLEx national exam. Many of our students have been licensed throughout the United States, but licensure regulations vary from state to state. Please check with your state licensing board as well as GMI for more information about whether our courses meet your licensure needs.
GMI currently offers our Practitioner Foundation Courses in two formats: a 12-18 month series of short intensives held in Bennington, Vermont, and a 3-month intensive training in Portugal.
