Massage Training Apprenticeship Program

This training option provides an alternative to full time courses. It provides individualized training for pairs or small groups of students.

Students can come with a partner or be teamed with other interested students.

The scope of what is taught can be adjusted to meet the needs of the students but usually a full body massage is taught. Beginning students are welcome. This approach is also ideal for intermediate and professional students. Students learn under close supervision, both receiving and giving each massage stroke. Students also benefit by receiving the strokes from the teacher, and at times, working on the teacher.

Classes are by appointment, and can be scheduled to suit the students' schedules. The apprenticeship training program usually includes attendance at an introductory training week. Upon finishing the course the students can enroll in a supervised internship.

It is also possible to combine the apprenticeship training with part of a longer training program, such as the Portugal Massage Program.

Apprenticeship training can be applied towards National Certification Requirements. At present this program is only available at our Vermont location.
